Born on the 18th of October 1984, American alpine skier Lindsey Vonn who is now retired won 4 World Cup competitions and the downhill gold medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Vonn is ranked second to the top of the world in super scores amongst female or male skiers. She's the most skilled skier in history and is the one of the most well-known athletes in the United States. Lindsey American World Cup alpine ski racer Caroline Vonn also known as Lindsey Vonn competes for the US Ski Team. She holds 4 overall World Cup victories. She is an athlete who has earned a name for herself in American popular culture. She is one of only six women who have been successful in all five World Cup competitions in alpine. In total, she's won more than 80 World Cup titles. The best skier worldwide and also the most successful American ski racers have decided to take a break following the World Championship which will take place in Sweden. Four times World Cup winner decided to quit after suffering from several ailments. The four-time overall World Cup champion made her announcement on social networks. This week, I'll be racing in my last races to end my career in the Downhill World Championships, as well as in the SG World Championships held in Re Sweden.
