Matt Ufford was threatened by the photographer with legal action if he did not delete the photo. The post, however, received significant media attention and was shared on dozens of websites. A tribute website to Stokke soon emerged with several images of her competing in the pole vault and, after these images spread via social media internet fan pages, it gained thousands of followers. The internship was the first step in her new career when she finished high school. Alyce was proudly brought up by a professor's daughter. Her family is in support of her sister, who works as an academic at a university. Alyce resides in Texas along with her parents they both are employed by the U.S. Army. In three years the family celebrated dad's anniversary on his 92nd birthday.
